First – Third grade has one-to-one iPads in the classroom. Students use iPads to extend and enrich their learning with programs such as Freckle, Reflex, and Accelerated Reader, as well as practicing class material with Quizzez or Kahoot. They also use them to scan QR codes to access enriching videos or to check their work, as well as to learn new material in programs such as NearPod.
Fourth grade students have one-to-on laptops which begin the transition for middle school and into high school. Students learn how to type work and continue to extend and enrich their learning with programs like Freckle, Reflex, and Accelerated Reading. They also show their understanding of material by creating projects in PowerPoint or writing assignments in Word. They practice skills with websites like Quizzez or Kahoot as well.
