Parkview Baptist School’s art curriculum is designed to enhance students’ cultural understanding and to develop an appreciation of performing and visual arts, as well as to nurture and build the confidence necessary for students to perform at their highest level of ability. Through drama productions, art shows, performances and daily interactions, students develop the skills and knowledge needed to excel artistically.
At the high school level, students may continue in the praise band or other performance ensembles. In fine arts, artistically gifted students may wish to pursue Art I, Art II, Art III-AP and Art IV-AP. The drama department is designed to enhance the student’s cultural background and to develop an appreciation of the art of theater. Additionally, the digital video production and live broadcast courses are now available to help equip students for our nation’s growing entertainment industry.
Our newly renovated Performing Arts & Academic Center (PAAC) is a state-of-the-art facility designed to elevate the experience of our students in the Arts. The PAAC features a versatile black box theater, Hollywood-style dressing rooms, a green room, sewing room, full workshop, and orchestra boxes—providing the perfect environment for creativity and performance to thrive. As one of the four A’s that Parkview is built upon, Arts play a vital role in our mission to nurture the God-given talents and passions of every student.
Each spring, our campus comes alive for Starry Night: An Arts & Literacy Stroll, a beloved annual event that celebrates the creative gifts of our students. On this magical evening, families and guests enjoy musical performances from our concert and jazz bands, vocal showcases from students of all ages, stunning visual art displays, and live painting throughout the campus. It’s an immersive experience that highlights the beauty of the Arts at Parkview and the incredible talents our students have been blessed with.
