Immunizations

As per Louisiana State requirements:

All incoming 6th grade students (11-12 years old) for the 26-27 school year will need 2 immunizations prior to starting school in August. They will need a Tdap and a Meningococcal vaccination.

You may also purchase your school supplies through Louisiana Office Supply Co. The deadline to purchase is July 13. If you order and pay for your pack before May 30, PBS will earn a $5 credit towards teacher supplies. Click the button below for instructions on how to purchase.

Summer English Requirements

Summer Math Requirements

All students will complete and turn a paper math packet the first day of school next year. All packets should be completed on loose-leaf and all work should be shown. Be prepared to take a summer math packet test.

1. Everyone entering 5^th grade will receive the same packet (unless they tested out of 5^th grade math and have been contacted by administration in which case they will complete the Entering 6^th packet)

2. Everyone entering 6^th grade will complete the same packet (unless they are headed into Pre-Algebra as a 6^th grader and have been contacted by administration.  These students will complete the 7^th Grade Packet.)

3. Everyone entering 7^th grade will complete the same packet (unless they are headed into Algebra Honors and have been contacted by administration.  These students will complete the Algebra Honors packet under the 8^th grade tab.)

4. Entering 8^th grade, students will complete one of three possible packets – either Pre-Algebra, Algebra CP, or Algebra Honors.  This will be communicated via email from Administration.

5. In addition to the summer packet, ALL returning students are required to have completed their course from the 2025-2026 school year in ALEKS to 80%.  Some students will have completed this prior to the end of school.

6. Continuing for the 2026-2027 school year – Multiplication Fact Fluency Expectations.  Please click the “Fluency” button next to the appropriate grade level.  5^th grade’s fluency is included with their packet.

Online ALEKS Requirement for students entering 6th-8th grade: 80% mastery.
