Parkview Baptist School’s Christ-centered college preparatory education equips students with the intellectual, spiritual, social, physical, and emotional skills necessary for college, for life, and for eternity.  Our goal is to support and challenge our students to grow and mature into the individuals God created them to be.  For students desiring a rigorous, college preparatory curriculum, but due to learning difficulties that need extra support beyond what takes place in the traditional classroom, the Learning Lab is an excellent option.
The purpose of the Learning Lab is to provide a place for students to receive extra instruction in both the small group and one on one setting in order to meet the needs of students with learning differences.
Our Services:
Study skills and organizational help
Reteaching in all subjects
Classwork & Homework assistance
Weekly Progress Monitoring
Test administration with accommodations ( i.e. oral testing, small group testing, extended time)
Standardized Testing administration with accommodations
Applying to the Learning Lab:
Current PBS students are eligible to apply for the Learning Lab with a formal diagnosis and a current (within 3 years) Psycho-Educational Evaluation performed by a licensed clinical professional.  In certain circumstances, a note from a Physician might suffice, but will need to be approved by the Learning Lab Coordinator.  For a current contract, cost breakdown, or more information, please contact the Learning Lab Coordinator, Sheri Demouy, at 225-291-2500 ext 152 or by email: sheri.demouy@parkviewbaptist.com.
Any prospective PBS student will need to begin the admissions process through the Parkview Baptist Admissions Department.  Please be sure to include a current Psycho Educational Evaluation and any available documentation with your application.  Once an application has been completed, the Admissions Department will be in contact to schedule entrance exams.
