Below are two sets of instructions:
– Pre-K 3 – 11th Grade
– Infant, Toddler, and Two Year Old

Please read the instructions carefully and ensure you have all necessary paperwork ready to upload.

Pre-K 3 – 11th Grade Admissions Process

Step One: APPLY FOR ADMISSION

You are now ready to begin the process. To get started click the ‘Apply’ button above. You will create an Online Application account, so you may want to gather the following documents to have them ready. Interviews and/or entrance tests will not be scheduled until the file is complete with all academic records and required Referral Forms/Surveys. 

ACADEMIC RECORDS

Grades from current year and the previous school years (grades 1-11)  
Most recent standardized test scores (grades 2-11) 
– Acceptable for Grades 2nd – 10th – ERB, Stanford, LEAP, ACT, Aspire, etc.
– 11th grade applicants must have most recent ACT Score

REFERRAL FORMS AND SURVEYS 

Pre-Kindergarten Teacher Survey (incoming TK and K, to be completed by current Pre-K teacher)
PK, TK and K Parent Survey (to be completed by parent) 
Student Questionnaire (grades 5th-11th)
Two (2) Recommendation forms that are emailed directly to the Principal/Teacher, so please have their email addresses ready.  
– Teacher Recommendation (grades 1st- 11th); Math or English teacher required for 7th- 11th
– Principal or other Administrator Recommendation (grades 1st- 11th)

Non-refundable application fee of $165

Additional Documents required for PK and K (to verify age): Copy of student’s birth certificate  

Step Two: Admissions Testing & Screening  

– Once we receive your submitted application and fee, your child will be scheduled for their entrance assessment. We cannot schedule any assessments without a completed application. 
– Incoming PK, TK and K students will be given an ESGI assessment to measure school readiness. Once we receive your application, we will contact you to schedule testing. 
– Incoming 1st through 4th graders will take a math and reading placement test on an iPad. 
– Incoming 5th through 11th graders take their entrance exam on campus using a secure portal. 
– Once your child completes his/her entrance assessment, we will schedule him/her for an interview with the Division Head.  

Step Three: ADMISSIONS CRITERIA AND DECISIONS

– TK and K applicants must be five years old by September 30th of the school year. 
– K – 11th grade applicants must have a qualifying score on the entrance test.
– 5th -10th grade applicants must have at least a 2.5 overall grade point average.   
– 11th grade applicants must have at least a 3.0 overall grade point average.   
– All applicants must have a satisfactory parent/student interview with the Division Head. 
– A record of good behavior and attendance from previous school.
– The Division Head reserves the right to determine whether or not the family is mission appropriate. 
– The admissions committee will prayerfully consider your child’s application. You will receive your child’s admissions decision via email within one week of entrance test and interview.   

Step Four: ENROLLMENT CONTRACT (ONLINE) 

If your child is accepted, you will receive instructions on how to complete your online enrollment contract. In order to secure your child’s place at PBS, the enrollment contract and the non-refundable registration fee must be submitted online within two weeks of the acceptance email.
