PBS Sophomore Places 1st Runner Up at Miss Teen Louisiana USA

Parkview Baptist Sophomore, Katie Scannell, placed 1st runner up at the 2016 Miss Louisiana Teen USA pageant over the weekend. Katie competed amongst 32 young women in the interview, swimsuit and evening gown competition. She is a member of the PBS Band, Robotics Club, and Theatre Program.

Katie was recently selected as a High School leader of the community and had an opportunity to participate in “Breakfast and Books.” She read the book, The Giver, to students at Denham Springs Junior High and shared her insight on what the book has meant to her.
