Outdoor Club Trip

The girl’s only Outdoor Club took a overnight kayaking trip over the Labor Day weekend. Fifteen students from all grades 9th-12th attended the trip as well as four other female faculty members. The Outdoor Club went to Okatoma Outpost in Seminary, MS and kayaked seven miles on the Okatoma Creek. The students had a great time enjoying the outdoors and each other.

The incredible thing about the Outdoor Club is that it welcomes everyone and from all fitness levels. The girls have the opportunity to bond with other females that they would normally never get the chance to know. Even though we all have different interests, the love of the outdoors brings people together.

The Outdoor Club is very active and has a trip planned each month throughout the school year. Our next trip on Monday, October 12th will be a hiking trip.  All female students are invited to come and enjoy the outdoors with us.
