PBS Middle School Track & Field Having Great Season

The Eagles middle school track and field program is having a fantastic season in only its second year of existence.  The program is headed up by Coach Sam Barham and assisted by David Pedigo, Rich Mayfield, Jody Guercio and Bobby McKey.  This year’s team has 56 members compared to last year’s squad of 29.  Not only has the program grown in number this school year, but it has blossomed into one of the best middle school programs in the Baton Rouge area.  Our 5/6^th grade boys team is undefeated having won all 7 meets in dominating fashion including the Tangi Tourism Meet this past weekend in Hammond by a 120 point margin.  The 5/6^th grade girls have been almost as successful as the boys winning 4 of those meets and finishing 2^nd or 3^rd in the other three.  In the Tangi Tourism Meet the girls won by 80 points.  The 7/8^th grade boys have won several meets and have finished no lower than 3^rd in any meet this season.  We have two meets left in the season; both will be held at Catholic High School on April 18 and 25.  Congratulations to our Middle School Eagles track teams for their outstanding season so far!  To God Be the Glory!
