Parkview Baptist Swim Team had top notch performances at the Capital City Championship this past weekend at Crawfish Aquatics! We look forward to competing at the State Championship meet in Sulphur on November 16th!
Our boys (Clay, Spencer, Lawson & Aiden) competed in their first relays of the season! They did fantastic in the 200 medley relay (2.11.35 – 13th place out of 15 teams) & 200 freestyle relay (1.54.95 – 9th place out of 18 teams)!
In the individual events:
Clay Rogillio earned a state cut time in the 100 back (1.09.28) and he was 17th out of 38 athletes! He also dropped a second in the 50 freestyle (28.03)!
Aiden Monistere dropped his time in the 500 free and made the state cut by OVER a minute (5.28.95)! He also made his state cut and dropped 3 seconds from prelims to finals in the 100 backstroke, earning 11th overall in the 100 backstroke at the Capital City Championship!
Madison Albright previously earned her state cut in the 100 breast stroke but had a 4 second drop from prelims to finals at the Capital City Championship Meet! Earning 15th overall in the 100 breast stroke!
Spencer Brown dropped 3 seconds in the 100 freestyle (1.06.75) and dropped 1 second in the 50 freestyle (29.47)!
Lawson McAlpine dropped 4 seconds in both the 50 freestyle (30.73) and 100 breast stroke (1.35.18)!
A huge congratulations to our Swim Team for their hard work and determination!
