Blessing Bags

Members of the Parkview Baptist School community teamed up with The Christmas Give to collect supplies for their annual event. This community outreach event, started by Parkview alum and current parent, Laura Buck Smith, has been serving the Baton Rouge area for well over a decade. Each year, members of the middle school and high school faculty connect with Laura to address the current needs of the Baton Rouge community.

Over the last month, seventh and eighth grade Bible students and Junior Beta Club members donated almost 500 “blessing bags” to be handed out through a ministry to the homeless and through homeless shelters. High school students created over 1,500 hand-written and decorated cards to be included in the gifts to local families in need, making sure they receive a little extra Christmas cheer this year.
