School Open – Wednesday, August 26

Parkview Family,

With the westward track of Hurricane Laura and its approach to landfall on Thursday morning, I feel we have an appropriate window to open school on Wednesday, August 26.  Eagle Academy aftercare will still be available, but pickup time may be sometime before 6:00 p.m. to give our staff time to clear the campus. Athletic practice schedules will be communicated by your respective coach.  The decision to open Wednesday should not change, but I will still monitor any surprises in the approach of the storm throughout this evening.  If conditions present themselves as dangerous to staff and students, or an increased risk of a power outage for the school, then I will reconsider that risk.  If you are in an area where it is unsafe to travel or there is a risk in doing so, please use your judgement and communicate with your Division Head. School on Thursday will be a wait and see decision.  We will likely be in school on Friday.
