Jeff Schneider enters his first year as the Director of Media and Sports Information for Parkview Baptist School and will oversee streaming and broadcast productions as well and sports communications for the Eagles varsity athletic programs.

Schneider joins Parkview from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where he spent eight years working in both communications and broadcast positions. In 2018, Schneider served as the Director of Broadcast Operations for the Ragin’ Cajuns and helped to build a brand-new broadcast department that produced content for ESPN and Cox Sports Television.

Prior to joining the broadcast department, Schneider spent seven years in the athletics communications office as Sports Information Assistant and an Associate Athletics Communications Director where he promoted the Ragin’ Cajuns football, baseball, golf and soccer programs.

During his time in communications, Schneider was associated with the football program’s first bowl appearance in 41 years, four bowl victories, numerous baseball conference titles including a record 58-win season, hosting two NCAA Regionals and a Super Regional, and the first ever No. 1 national ranking for the baseball program.

Schneider also oversaw the athletic department video streams while working in the communications office and helped to grow the program from a one-camera operation to a multi-cam production.

Before joining the Ragin’ Cajuns athletic department in 2011, Schneider spent four years at ETSU where he promoted the Buccaneers baseball, volleyball, men’s soccer and women’s soccer programs.

“Parkview Athletics already has a great brand in the Baton Rouge area. The goal of the Media Department is to increase the brand awareness of Parkview Athletics in the region, while offering our students the skills and knowledge for potential careers in the industry,” stated Schneider.

Schneider is a native on Baton Rouge, La., and earned a BS in mass communications from LSU in 2007. He is the son of WAFB Sports Director Steve Schneider.

Jessica Province will continue her role as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator.
