During  Monday’s professional development day, our Middle School teachers received training to use the Activboards which have just been installed in their classrooms. Funds from last year’s gala helped purchase 6 Activeboards for our Middle School program.   These interactive, digital boards enhance students tactile, visual and auditory experiences to expand opportunities and accelerate student learning.

“My Activboard is a vital tool in my classroom!  It enables me to pull up texts to annotate with students, it allows my students to edit and revise mentor sentences, and gives me the opportunity to have my students engaged in meaningful and exciting methods of reviewing concepts,” says eighth grade English teacher, Melanie Wales.  “My Activboard allows me to integrate more technology into my lessons and helps me save time in class,” adds sixth grade science teacher Holly Jennings.

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated and purchased items at last year’s Gala. You made it possible for PTF to invest these funds in our Middle School students education! We hope you will join us at this year’s Gala on March 17, 2018. You can purchase tickets by clicking here.
