Elementary Grandparents Day Information

Grandparents Day is designed to be a special time for our students and their grandparents. We ask that parents refrain from attending. We do not have enough parking space or space in our classrooms to have parents attend. Our RSVP list indicates that about half of our students will not have grandparents attending. Parkview Church has graciously recruited volunteers to serve as surrogate grandparents for the morning. These volunteers will visit, take pictures and do activities with the children.

Below you will find a parking map and classroom map. (If you forget to print out your maps, do not worry! We will have plenty of copies throughout campus.) PARENTS, please remind grandparents which classroom(s) they will be visiting. If you do not know or forget your grandchild’s teacher, we will have volunteers outside the Church Sanctuary and in the Elementary Building with class lists. As you know, we have lots of parking at PBS, but on a day with a lot of visitors parking can get tight. If you know any other grandparents attending, please consider carpooling!

We know that some grandparents (especially those coming in from out of town) may wish to take their grandchildren with them to have lunch or spend the day together. There will be a sign-out sheet in each classroom. Grandparents may use that sign-out sheet to check-out their grandchild if they wish.

Grandparents Day Schedule

– 9:00 AM Program in Church Sanctuary

– 9:30 AM Classroom Visits (activities, pictures & refreshments)

– 10:30 – 11:00 Classroom Visits Conclude

If you have not RSVP’d yet and would like to, please send an email to grandparents@parkviewbaptist.com and include your names. Although an RSVP is appreciated, it is NOT necessary. If you can join us on Monday, please do!
