2017 Baseball Season Underway
The Parkview Baptist Eagles kick off their 2017 baseball season with hopes of continuing a “Championship Tradition.” The baseball program will kick off its 33rd season this year after coming off of a 13-14 record in 2016. The Eagles will return All-District players Connor Joffrion, Jared Kilcrease, Nathan Boe and Ross Powers. Daniel Cabrera (P/OF) joins the program as a returning All-State player. Cabrera has signed with Louisiana State University and was recently named Preseason Player of the Year by Prep Baseball Report Louisiana.
Head Coach Darron Mitchell enters his 7th year at the helm of the program of the and looks forward to the season ahead. “In High School, graduation always makes you have a completely different squad the following year. We have a few returning starters, but I’m looking forward to seeing what new players step up and help us compete for a district and hopefully state championship,” said Head Coach Darron Mitchell.
