Two PBS Seniors Sign to play Collegiate Ball
On Friday, November 11, two Parkview Baptist seniors signed their letter of intent to play sports at the collegiate level.
Senior Daniel Cabrera signed to play baseball at Louisiana State University. The pitcher/outfielder was named top baseball player in Louisiana for 2016 by MaxPreps and is also is ranked among the nation’s top 200 players for the Class of 2017 by rating services such as USA Baseball, Collegiate Baseball and Perfect Game. Cabrera committed to LSU in January of 2015 as a sophomore at John Curtis Christian School. There, he led the Patriots to a 3A State Championship title in 2015.

Senior Skyler Goodwin signed her letter of intent to play basketball at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Goodwin helped the Eagles to a Class 3A State Runner Up title last season and was also named All-Metro MVP. The forward/guard was a member of the LHSBCA All-State Team and looks forward to leading the Eagles this season. Goodwin is the first ever PBS Girls’ Basketball player to sign at the collegiate level.
