Mollie Biggs Thomas, a 1990 graduate of Parkview Baptist School, has built a life defined by faith, compassion, and service to others. Her connection to Parkview began long before graduation. Mollie’s father, J. Steve Biggs, served as the founding treasurer and helped facilitate the formation of PBS. Her mother, Janet Biggs, and her brother, S. Andrew Biggs, a 1987 graduate, were also part of a family deeply connected to the Parkview community. Mollie began attending Parkview in its very first year. As a fourth grader, she entered the school’s mascot-naming contest and submitted the winning nomination: the Eagle. It was a small but lasting contribution to the school she loved. During her years at Parkview, Mollie was a cheerleader her freshman year, on Coach “Boots” Garland’s track team, and later served as an officer in Key Club. While volunteering with Key Club at St. Jude Research Hospital in Memphis, she felt called by God to become a nurse. After graduating in 1990, Mollie attended the University of Alabama, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Capstone College of Nursing in 1994. That same year, she began her career at USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital, where she continues to work part-time after 32 years of service. For 26 years, Mollie was a member of the Neonatal Critical Care Transport Team, transporting critically ill infants to a higher level of care.
Today, Mollie lives in Fairhope, Alabama, with her husband, Jason Thomas. Together, they raised their two sons, Miles and Julian. Of all the roles and titles Mollie has held throughout her life, perhaps her most treasured came in June 2026, when Miles and daughter-in-law Elyse made her a grandmother to Baby Sadie. Being a grandmother has brought a new and special joy to a life already centered on loving, caring for, and serving others. Mollie credits Parkview with preparing her academically for success at the University of Alabama while giving her something even more important: a strong foundation in faith. When college took her from home and family, that foundation gave her direction and helped shape the woman, nurse, wife, mother, grandmother, mentor, and servant she would become. Caring, compassionate, and selfless, Mollie has spent her life using the gifts God gave her to care for others. Her story reflects the kind of abundant life that begins with faith, grows through service, and leaves a lasting impact on the lives of others.

Joe was a beloved son, brother, friend, and devoted uncle to four nephews and three nieces whose life reflected faith, perseverance, and compassion. Though his life ended far too soon, his unwavering faith in Christ, joyful spirit, and determination to serve others leave a lasting legacy.
During his years in Baton Rouge, Joe was an Eagle Scout, a cross-country runner, and a soccer player who helped his club team win a Louisiana state championship. His passion for serving others led him to multiple mission trips around the world and a distinguished academic journey receiving a bachelor’s degree from LSU, a master’s degree from Texas A&M, and a Juris Doctorate degree from Regent University School of Law. He later practiced law in Richmond, Virginia, with a focus on international affairs and global justice.
Known for his infectious smile, quick wit, and adventurous spirit, Joe embraced life with remarkable determination. Even while battling pancreatic cancer and enduring over a year of brutal chemotherapy, he remained steadfast in his faith, continually pointing others toward Christ. In all this, he kept and shared his faith to the very end.
Though his life ended far too soon at age 35, Joe leaves a lasting legacy of faith, love, courage, and service that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
