Parkview Baptist School is proud to celebrate senior Mason Liner, who continues to earn national recognition for his academic achievements. Mason has been named a candidate for the prestigious U.S. Presidential Scholars Program and is also a National Merit Finalist, placing him among the most accomplished high school students in the country.
Established in 1964, the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program recognizes some of the nation’s most distinguished graduating seniors for their academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to service. Each year, students across the country are selected as candidates based on outstanding academic achievement, with only a small number ultimately being named U.S. Presidential Scholars.
Being named a candidate for the Presidential Scholars Program places Mason among an elite group of students recognized for their dedication to learning and their potential to make a meaningful impact in the future. The program honors students who demonstrate not only academic excellence but also character, leadership, and a commitment to their communities.
In addition to this recognition, Mason has been named a National Merit Finalist, an honor awarded to a select group of students who score among the highest in the nation on the PSAT/NMSQT and meet rigorous academic standards throughout high school. National Merit Finalists represent the top tier of academic achievement and scholarship nationwide.
Mason’s journey at Parkview Baptist School spans more than a decade. As a 13-year PBS Eagle, he has embraced opportunities across academics, arts, and extracurricular activities. Throughout his time at Parkview, Mason has been actively involved in band, robotics, athletics, and the fine arts, reflecting a commitment to pursuing excellence in every area of school life.
He has also demonstrated remarkable talent on stage, most recently performing the lead role in Parkview’s production of The Phantom of the Opera. In addition, Mason has been a member of the PBS football team, balancing his academic success with dedication to athletics and teamwork.
Mason’s accomplishments represent the heart of what it means to be a Parkview student. His pursuit of excellence across academics, arts, and athletics reflects the values that shape the Parkview experience and the school’s commitment to developing students who lead with purpose and faith.
The Parkview Baptist School community is incredibly proud of Mason and all he has achieved. His recognition as both a U.S. Presidential Scholars candidate and a National Merit Finalist is a testament to his hard work, perseverance, and character. As Mason continues his senior year and prepares for the future, we celebrate these remarkable milestones and look forward to seeing the many ways he will continue to make an impact.
