PBS Senior Mason Liner Named 2026 National Merit Semi-Finalist

Parkview Baptist School is proud to announce that Senior Mason Liner, a 13-year PBS Eagle, has been named a 2026 National Merit Scholarship Semi-Finalist. This prestigious recognition places Mason among the top academic students in the nation and highlights his dedication, talent, and pursuit of excellence.

About the National Merit Scholarship Program

The National Merit Scholarship Program is one of the most respected academic competitions in the United States. More than 1.3 million students enter the program each year by taking the PSAT/NMSQT. Of those, only about 16,000 nationwide are named Semi-Finalists—representing less than one percent of all high school seniors. Being selected as a Semi-Finalist is a remarkable achievement and opens the door for students to compete for National Merit Finalist status and potential scholarships.

Mason’s PBS Journey

Mason has spent his entire school career at Parkview, starting in Early Childhood and now thriving as a senior. Over the past 13 years, he has been a dedicated member of the band, robotics team, a member of the football team, and an active participant in the fine arts department, most recently playing the lead role in our production of The Phantom of the Opera. His commitment to excellence across so many areas makes this achievement even more meaningful.

A Reflection of the 4 A’s at PBS

Mason’s accomplishment is a powerful example of how Parkview students live out the 4 A’s:

Academics – His academic achievements demonstrate rigorous scholarship and commitment to learning.

Arts – His performances on stage, including his role as Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera, reflect his creativity and talent as well as his musical ability displayed in the band.

Athletics – As a member of the PBS Football team, Mason has shown perseverance, teamwork, and discipline.

Abundant Life – Above all, Mason reflects the heart of PBS by pursuing excellence with Christ at the center.

A Community Celebration

We are incredibly proud of Mason and all he represents for Parkview Baptist School. His hard work, leadership, and example are an inspiration to his classmates and a source of spirit for the entire PBS community.

Congratulations, Mason, on this outstanding accomplishment!
