TWO GATORADE PLAYERS OF THE YEAR NAMED FROM PARKVIEW BAPTIST SCHOOL

We are incredibly proud to announce that Parkview Baptist School is home to not one, but TWO Gatorade Players of the Year — an extraordinary achievement that highlights the excellence, dedication, and integrity of our student-athletes.

🏅 Aiden Monistere – 2024–2025 Gatorade Louisiana Boys Track & Field Player of the Year
Aiden, a recent graduate from the Class of 2025, made history at Parkview Baptist with his remarkable high school running career. From being a pivotal part of the Eagles back-to-back state titles in Cross Country to earning All-State honors multiple times, Aiden’s commitment to his sport and his team was evident in every stride. Aiden also made history by setting the fastest 5K cross country time in Louisiana high school history. At the Southern Showcase in Huntsville, Alabama, he completed the race in 14:57, surpassing the previous state record of 14:59 set by Jesuit’s Brady Mullen. Known for his strong leadership, discipline, and humility, Aiden not only broke personal records — he raised the bar for those around him.

Aiden will continue his athletic and academic journey at Iowa State University, where he will compete at the NCAA Division I level in Track & Field.

⚽ Ella Kate Johnston – 2024–2025 Gatorade Louisiana Girls Soccer Player of the Year
Ella Kate, another PBS standout who will graduate in 2026, capped off an incredible season with the highest individual honor in Louisiana high school soccer. As a driving force on our girls soccer team, she was instrumental in helping the Eagles claim state championships the last three seasons. Her skill, sportsmanship, and team-first mindset made her not only a fierce competitor but also a respected leader on and off the field. We can’t wait to see how the rest of her high school career unfolds.

Ella Kate follows in the footsteps of her sister, Faith Johnston, who also earned Gatorade Player of the Year honors — making this recognition all the more special for the Johnston family and the PBS community.

🎓 These two remarkable students exemplify what it means to be a Scholar. Athlete. Leader. Disciple. Their hard work, character, and pursuit of excellence continue to inspire future generations of Eagles.

Join us in celebrating Aiden and Ella Kate for this well-deserved recognition and for representing Parkview with pride on the state and national stage. We can’t wait to see what’s next!
