At Parkview Baptist School, preparing students for life beyond high school is more than just academics—it’s a calling. That’s why we are thrilled to welcome two dedicated professionals to our College Guidance Team who will walk alongside our students as they discover, plan, and pursue their God-given paths.
🎓 Meet Mrs. Connie Mashburn – College & Career Advisor
With a Masters in Education from the University of Texas and more than 20 years of experience, Mrs. Connie Mashburn joins PBS as our new College & Career Advisor. Throughout her career, she has served as a teacher, program coordinator, and academic and career advisor, bringing a wealth of experience to this critical role.
Mrs. Mashburn has a deep passion for helping students develop clear and personalized postsecondary plans—whether that includes college, career, military service, or ministry. From test preparation and academic planning to scholarship research and college fairs, she has a heart for equipping students to step confidently into the next chapter of their lives. Her approach combines professional insight with spiritual guidance, encouraging each student to pursue their unique calling with purpose and faith.
Having recently moved to Louisiana to be closer to family, Mrs. Mashburn is excited to continue her work in a Christ-centered environment. She brings compassion, clarity, and a genuine love for students to our high school community.
🌟 Introducing Mrs. Caitlyn Klingman – College & Career Support (8th–9th Grade)
Also joining our team is Mrs. Caitlyn Klingman, who will be supporting Mrs. Mashburn and working specifically with our 8th and 9th grade students. While Mrs. Klingman is no stranger to PBS—having already served on our faculty—she is stepping into this new role to focus on early college and career guidance.
Her work will help our youngest high schoolers lay the groundwork for success by encouraging early goal-setting, thoughtful academic choices, and future-minded planning. Mrs. Klingman will provide a strong bridge between middle school and high school, giving students the tools and encouragement they need to begin thinking about their futures early—without pressure, but with purpose.
One Mission, One Team
Together, Mrs. Mashburn and Mrs. Klingman will help guide our Eagles through every stage of college and career preparation—from exploring interests and strengths to navigating applications, financial aid, and more.
Please join us in giving both of these outstanding educators a warm Parkview welcome as they tackle these new roles! We are so excited for the impact they will have in shaping the futures of our students.
