PBS Student-Athletes Honored at The Advocate’s Star of Stars Awards

Parkview Baptist School is proud to celebrate several outstanding student-athletes recognized at The Advocate’s 39th Annual Star of Stars Sports Awards held on Monday, May 19, at the L’Auberge Event Center.

Honorees from Parkview Baptist include:

Aiden Monistere – Boys Cross Country Star of Stars AND Finalist for Boys Athlete of the Year. Aiden is an LSU Indoor Track State Champion and will continue his running career at Iowa State University.

Ella Kate Johnston – Girls Soccer Star of Stars. Ella Kate is a standout player and All-Metro selection who helped lead PBS Girls Soccer to their third consecutive state title.

Laurel Cassidy – Volleyball Star of Stars. Laurel has committed to continue her volleyball career at LSU.

Jack Carter – Golf Star of Stars. Jack was the 2025 Metro Champion and led PBS to a Runner-Up finish at the Division III State Tournament.

Parkview Girls Soccer Team – Finalist for Girls Team of the Year after a dominant season ending with their third straight state championship.

Coach Raphael Nunes – Finalist for Girls Soccer Coach of the Year after leading the team to back-to-back-to-back titles.

Special Guest: Former NFL wide receiver Eddie Kennison joined the event and hosted a live Q&A, sharing stories of his football career, leadership, and life lessons.
