This spring, the curtain rises on one of the most iconic productions in musical theater history—The Phantom of the Opera—right here at Parkview Baptist School! We are thrilled to bring this powerful and timeless story to life on our campus as the PBS Fine Arts Department prepares for its grand performance on Friday & Saturday, April 4–5 & Wednesday – Saturday, April 9–12.
But this production is more than just a performance. It marks a milestone moment in the life of our school as it will be the first full-scale musical presented in our newly renovated Performing Arts & Academic Center (PAAC)—a state-of-the-art space designed to elevate the arts and enhance student life at PBS.
At Parkview, we believe the arts are not extracurricular—they are essential. The arts provide a place for students to express themselves, grow in confidence, and experience the joy of storytelling, music, and movement. Our value of Arts at PBS is deeply rooted in our mission to educate the whole child, and our spring musical is a shining example of how our students use their God-given gifts to create, inspire, and lead.
The PAAC—our newly upgraded Performing Arts & Academic Center—is a space that brings that mission to life. Complete with a black box theater, orchestra boxes, a professional-grade dance studio, and expanded facilities for vocal and instrumental instruction, the PAAC is designed to meet the needs of both performers and audiences. This production of Phantom of the Opera will showcase the first use of our black box theater for a major musical, transforming the space into the hauntingly beautiful Paris Opera House.
Productions like Phantom of the Opera are more than just a show—they are community-building experiences that strengthen our sense of family at PBS. From actors and vocalists to set designers, stage crew, and musicians, students from across divisions come together to build something truly special. It’s a living example of our commitment to Student Life at PBS—giving students the opportunity to explore their passions, work collaboratively, and be a part of something greater than themselves.
Through long rehearsals, late nights, and lots of hard work, these students are learning discipline, dedication, and leadership, all while forming lasting memories and friendships. For many, it’s a highlight of their high school experience—and for our audiences, it’s an opportunity to be moved and inspired.
We invite the entire Parkview community—and beyond—to experience this spectacular performance and celebrate the talent, passion, and creativity of our students. Whether you’re a musical theater fan or simply want to support the arts at PBS, this is a performance you won’t want to miss.
