At Parkview Baptist School, we are uniquely blessed to see students grow from their earliest steps in education to their high school graduation, all within the same Christ-centered community. This continuity creates something truly special—an environment where mentorship, leadership, and inspiration flourish.
Mentorship Through Connection
One of the most beautiful aspects of our school is how older students naturally become role models for younger ones. Recently, our talented high school theater students had the opportunity to practice their storytelling skills by reading to our Early Childhood students. Watching the younger children’s faces light up as they listened to these captivating stories was a moment that showed how much of an impact older students can have by simply sharing their time and talents.
This kind of interaction goes beyond storytelling—it’s a powerful example of how mentorship is woven into everyday life at Parkview. Younger students look up to these leaders and see what they can aspire to become, not only in theater but in all areas of their lives.
Athletics: Building Future Leaders
On the field and in the gym, younger athletes have the unique opportunity to learn from and be inspired by our high school athletes. Whether it’s a pat on the back after practice or simply observing the dedication and sportsmanship of their older peers, these moments shape the next generation of leaders.
The mentorship provided by our high school athletes goes far beyond sports—it teaches younger students the importance of discipline, teamwork, and character. It’s about building not just better athletes but better people, both on and off the field.
Cheering Each Other On
The Parkview spirit is alive and well as younger students rally to cheer for older students in their endeavors, whether it’s at athletic games, academic competitions, or artistic performances. These moments of encouragement and shared celebration inspire younger students to dream big and set goals for themselves. They see firsthand what’s possible and are motivated to achieve their own success.
Traditions That Bind Generations
One cherished tradition at Parkview is the making of Native American shirts for our Kindergarten students. These handmade shirts are worn with pride during their early years—and then again during Senior Week, when those same students, now young adults, don them once more. This tradition is a beautiful reminder of the journey they’ve taken, the roots they’ve planted, and the growth they’ve experienced within our school family.
Leading by Example
The value of having students from their early years through high school is evident in countless ways. It’s in the mentorship that flows naturally from older students to younger ones. It’s in the example set by leaders in academics, athletics, and the arts. It’s in the relationships built through shared experiences and traditions that span generations.
At Parkview Baptist School, we see every day how mentorship and leading by example shape our students into Christ-centered leaders, equipped to impact the world. This is not just education—it’s discipleship. And the value of that is truly priceless.
