Name:
– Ms. Grace Feucht
Grades and Subjects Teaching:
– High School Theatre I, II & III; American Film & Technical Theatre
Degrees:
– B.A. in Theatre from LSU
Year you began your teaching career:
– 2017
Tell us about your family: I am originally from right outside of Opelousas, LA (right down the street from Tony Chachere). I have a really big family: 4 brothers and 2 sisters. I’m the 5th out of 7 kids. My older siblings are all married with kids and many of them were born when I was young, so I actually grew up being really close with many of my nieces and nephews. I moved to Baton Rouge to go to college and got connected with my church and that community became my second family and I ended up staying in Baton Rouge after graduating from LSU.

“My hidden talent is being able to memorize long sequences of numbers!”

Do you have an interesting fact?
– I lived right outside of New York City for a little while and worked in Manhattan!
– I love Star Wars & Disney!
– Spicy food is my favorite!
– I like playing board games!
– I also really enjoy playing sports, but I’m honestly not that great at them.
What made you want to come to Parkview?
– I was excited to join a team of other believers who were educating kids, not only in the different subjects that they teach, but also in what it looks like to know the Lord and have a relationship with Him. I was a public school teacher for 6 years and viewed my position as a ministry, but there were some limitations on how much I could actually say in my former job. I’m excited to get to teach about the performing arts while also teaching about God and His Kingdom!
Why is Christian education important?
– I believe that knowing Jesus is the most important thing that someone can know about. So I believe that kids getting to hear the Gospel and the truth about God from trusted adults at a young age can make such a big difference in their lives.
