Mrs. Kim Reid has two forms of incentives for good behavior. One is for an individual child and one is for the entire class. The class incentive is called the “Compliment Chain”. Each time the whole class is noticed by any adult, obeying, listening and doing what they’re supposed to be doing, they get a link on their Compliment Chain. When the chain touches the floor (about 30 links) the class receives a special reward. When the class’s behavior is such that they get their Compliment Chain to the floor a second time, more rewards are added. In all 22 years of Mrs. Reid’s tenure at PBS as a Kindergarten Teacher, no class has been able to get their Compliment Chain to the floor a 3rd time until this year! Instead of voting on their reward, they received all of the rewards all day long. The students enjoyed free dress, special food, fun center play and an indoor inflatable. This class truly worked hard to earn this special reward. Congratulations Kindergarteners!
