Spiritual Emphasis Week

Parkview Baptist School Middle and High School students participated in Spiritual Emphasis Week this week with chapels on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and also by walking through The Compassion Journey Experience hosted by Parkview Baptist Church. Pastor Landon Dowden was a powerful guest speaker and PBS Alumni Mitchell Shoumaker led worship. Our students had the opportunity to spend extra time hearing messages from God’s Word and spending time in worship and prayer. To wrap up their time together, Pastor Dowden called on Parkview students to be Godly young men and women, living their lives in such a way that their devotion to God is evident by the way that they love others: 1) never leading anyone toward sin; 2) never silent when someone is heading toward sin; 3) loving with a protective love; 4) loving with a providing love; 5) and loving with an enduring love. He expounded on the command to honor your parents by explaining that as a student this is how we move the Kingdom forward in our own homes. We’re thankful to Pastor Landon for spending the week with our students!
“It is the same with my Word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.” Isaiah 55:11 NLT
