Tell us about your family:
– I grew up between California, Florida and Alabama. I am married to Robert Young and we will be celebrating 14 years this fall. We have one lovely son, Averett, who just turned eight. We moved to Louisiana four years ago.
“My son, Averett, has been at Parkview since 1st grade. We have been amazed with all he has learned both academically and biblically. I know that teaching is my calling and the opportunity to share my faith with my students was also why I wanted to be a part of Parkview.”

Do you have an interesting fact?
– I was born in Alaska.
– I can bake true German butter cookies (I know where to get German ingredients too!”
– I have family in Germany and we visit as often as we can. We communicate using Google Translate!
Why is Christian education important?
– Having a biblically founded faith is important for a strong relationship with Jesus, as He is the way to salvation. Jesus calls us to be disciples to reach others.
