The Yearbook Staff recently entered the 2021 yearbook into the Louisiana Scholastic Press Association Yearbook Competition. Competition winners were announced during an awards ceremony at the LSPA conference, which was held Friday, March 11 at LSU. The 2021 Eagle, Parkview’s yearbook, received the following awards:
– Cover Design -1st Place
– Theme Development/Organization -1st Place
– Division Pages -2nd Place
– Photography -2nd Place
– Overall Design -3rd Place
– Coverage -3rd Place
– Best Overall Yearbook -3rd Place
The theme of last year’s book was “Ready…Set…Go!”, and was inspired by retro video games. The judges complimented the theme, versatility of coverage, and the copywriting depth of the book.
The staff has already selected a theme for the 2022 yearbook and is currently hard at work on wrapping up winter sports spreads. They hope to deliver another great yearbook to the Parkview community.
