Jude C. Blouin, a graduating senior from Parkview Baptist School of the class of 2021, has been nominated for the Louisiana Legislative Scholarship by Representative Kathy Edmonston, House District 88 of Gonzales.  Jude and his family live in District 88.
“It is with great pleasure that I nominate Jude for this scholarship,” says Kathy, “He is an outstanding student both academically and athletically with participation in volunteer service and extracurricular activities, including four years of service with the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center!”
Jude has high honors and awards including Academic All-State for Boys Basketball and is a member and group leader in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  He was selected to represent his school in the subject of physics for the National Alliance of Christian Schools. He has received Advanced Math honors and was recognized for outstanding achievement in U.S. & world history, math, chemistry, Spanish II, and world geography.
Jude was nominated to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum with promise and interest in the field of engineering.  He represented Parkview Baptist and the state of Louisiana at the Congress of Future Medical Leaders. Jude will be pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering in the fall of 2021 at Tulane University.  He was admitted as part of the early action admission process.
Jude says, “I thrive to be an engineer that shapes the future, while actively benefitting the lives and health of others.”
From May 24th through June 10th Jude will be serving as a page in the Louisiana House of Representatives during the 2021 Legislative Session.
Congratulations for all your hard work and persistence, Jude.  God bless you in all your endeavors.  You make Parkview Baptist School and Ascension Parish proud!
