AP Biology Students Test Genetic Engineering Of E-Coli
Our AP Biology students took part in a science lab testing the genetic engineering of e-coli bacteria. Students took e-coli bacteria and inserted genes to make it ampicillin resistant and to give it the green florescent protein that jellyfish make to glow under UV light. If successful, their transformed bacteria should glow green under UV light and also be able to grow on ampicillin.
