Class of 2020 Salutatorian – McKinley Sherman
Congratulations to our Salutatorian, McKinley Sherman! McKinley’s dedication, hard work, and perseverance led her to receive one of Parkview Baptist High School’s top awards. McKinley was involved a wide variety of clubs and organization including: Varsity Tennis Team for five years (went to district four years & state tennis tournament four years), Soccer Manager (Senior year), Volleyball (Freshman year), Student Ambassador (four years), Mu Alpha Theta Club, National Honors Society, and Senior Beta Club. She received the following awards during her high school career: AP Scholar, Prudhomme Service/Leadership Scholarship (Sophomore year), 2018-19 Outstanding Academic Achievement in AP Biology, 2017-18 Outstanding Academic Achievement in Bible II, Placed 2nd in Southern Baptist Association of Christian Schools Scholastic Achievement for Biology, Junior Marshall, Nominated for the Brother Bob Scholarship (Freshman Year), and made 4.0 Principal’s List each year.
McKinley is the daughter of Ray and Angie Sherman and the big sister of Jack Sherman (PBS Class of 2024). She will attend Louisiana Tech in the fall and will study Chemical Engineering. We are so proud of McKinley and wish her the best!
