STEAM in the Swamp
Elementary and Early Childhood enjoyed an evening of “STEAM in the Swamp” at Elementary’s annual STEAM night, where the arts were added to the plate this year. Families began the night with a Jambalaya dinner donated by The Jambalaya Shop in Prairieville and then participated in an open house of Louisiana themed science, technology, engineering, art, and math activities. Students went fishing for facts, built bird’s nests, made wildlife puzzles, created food chains, made gator bait, created litter critters, and much more. Families also enjoyed an exciting demonstration from the PBS high school robotics team. Evenings like our Elementary STEAM Night bring our community of families and staff together to help our students excel and extend their knowledge in all areas.
