#TheChallenge Results
Friends:
I have the honor of communicating the results of The Challenge – Eagle Annual Fund (EAF) 18-19 campaign to you. First, I would like to offer a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who participated in The Challenge! Your leadership and generosity did not go unnoticed. The Parkview family is grateful! Click here to see who accepted #TheChallenge.
The good news is that this campaign was a 60% increase over our second most successful EAF and a 134% increase over last year. The average gift amount was $563 (Wow!) with School Board members contributing 25% of the total amount given and your children’s teachers contributing 12%. Parents gave % and grandparents gave 22% of the total amount. The total of gifts received to be matched was $84,504.80.
This is a great start as Parkview begins to embrace what is possible for the future. We teach our kids to start every semester reaching for A’s, run every race trying to set a personal record and practice in the same excellent manner that we wish to perform. We live our lives setting high goals and then striving to reach those goals. We don’t reach our goals as quickly as we would like to, but we always learn, grow, and become stronger through these experiences.
The best news to share is that Performance gave $165,495.20 over the match amount for a total gift of $250,000 and we are so very grateful for their generosity and commitment to Parkview and our students!
Looking forward, we have a beautiful plan for our courtyard and cafeteria and the dream of making both these projects happen is alive and well. The $332K raised this fall puts us that much closer to $1.25M+ needed to complete the first phase of our master plan. As Board and School leadership work through plans, bids and budgets, we will provide updates to our donors and the Parkview community.
These lofty and exciting plans provide a wonderful opportunity for parents, grandparents and alums to become more active in the life of the school. We are forming an Eagle Annual Fund leadership cabinet to plan for the future. It’s going to take lots of hands, energy and creative minds to bring our dreams for our students to life. If you want to be a part of this exciting effort, please email me at laurie.adams@parkviewbaptist.com. We will set an organizational meeting date for early February!
It is a joy to work alongside you as we seek God’s will and plan for the children and mission he has entrusted to us! Thank you for the privilege.
