Jolee Liles Signs With Louisiana State University
On Friday, Jolee Liles signed her letter of intent to swim at Louisiana State University.
Liles has competed at the High School level since the sixth grade. Her freshman year (2015), Liles broke the 500 freestyle record previously set by Shelly Ripple, 1998 PBS Alum, at the Capital City Swim League (CCSL). In 2016, Liles broke that same record again at CCSL. At the 2016 LHSAA State Championships, Liles broke the 200 IM, also set by Ripple. Liles continued that success in the 200 IM as she broke her own record her junior year at the LHSAA State Championships.
Just a few weeks ago, Liles continued to break Ripple’s records. This time she broke the 200 freestyle record and the 100 fly record at the CCSL.
Yesterday, Liles was awarded LHSAA Female Outstanding Swimmer of the Meet for the third straight year. She broke her own 500 free record along with the 200 free and and 100 free.
Liles holds a total of three CCSL records, four Division III records, and her 200 IM is an LHSAA composite record. Her sophomore and junior year, she was named Scholastic All American. Liles was twice named High School All American by NISCA for her performance during the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 high school swimming season.
