Tell us about your family:
– I have been married to Mark, my high school sweetheart for 36 years. We have four beautiful daughters and five precious grandchildren. Our oldest daughter, DeAnna and her husband Ryan live in Slidell. They have three of our grandchildren : Logan (8), Hannah (6) and Chase (3). Stephanie, our second daughter, and her husband Rob live here in Baton Rouge. Our third daughter is Jaclyn, and she and her husband Derek live in Prairieville with Trace (2) and Ridge (2 weeks). Our youngest daughter, Madeline, just graduated from LSU where she was a member of the Tiger Band. She is looking forward to starting her career as a Music Educator.
Degrees:
– B.S. in Elementary Education from Southeastern Louisiana University
– Elementary 1 Diploma from The Montessori World Educational Institute
Do you have an interesting fact?
– I am also a travel agent specializing in Disney travel.
You get three things to take to a desert island – what are they?
– My husband, a puzzle book, and a solar powered device to play music.
Do you have any hidden talents?
– I like to make invitations for my grandchildren’s birthdays.
Why is Christian education important?
– I believe it is important because Jesus and Godly principles are being erased from our world more and more, and I believe that, like the song says, people need the Lord.
