Speed Up Learning
Speed Stacking is a worldwide competitive sport where young people compete against each other for the fastest time in stacking a number of cups. There are individual and team competitions. This sport is great for students to practice hand-eye coordination, speed and teamwork.
Early Childhood and Elementary P.E. teacher Melissa Bonaventure says, “We are so excited about our new Speed Stack equipment! We have wanted to purchase a class set for several years now, and are thankful to PTF for donating them to our program. Speed stacks are a great complement to our entire P.E. department program. Promoting fitness and academics, there are over 70 fitness based activities you can do with the equipment while working on hand-eye coordination. While it uses both sides of the brain, it can stimulate brain growth and academic gains in the classroom. It is also, just fun! The kids really get into the competitiveness of the activities which promotes teamwork and cooperation.”
Thank you to everyone who attended, donated and purchased items at last year’s Gala. You made it possible for PTF to invest these funds in our Early Childhood and Elementary students education! We hope you will join us at this year’s Gala on March 17, 2018. You can purchase tickets by clicking here.
