Bayou Fountain Cleanup
Our 8th grade students went above and beyond this Saturday as they cleaned up a 1.25 mile stretch of Bayou Fountain. They pulled 207 plastic bottles, 113 aluminum cans, 42 glass bottles, 80 plastic cups/plates/forks, 10 straws, 4 oil bottles, 1 fishing net, 1 fishing pole, 1 rope, 1 pool float, 3 batteries, 2 car tires, 5 trash cans/drums, 1 cigarette lighter, 7 tobacco cans, 23 golf balls, 4 baseballs, 1 trash can lid, and 2 trash bags full of styrofoam.
Mr. Tyler Parker led this effort and wanted to do it because plastics and trash are constantly being dumped into our oceans. “We did a small part to try and keep Gods creation beautiful. Do your part as well.”
