Parkview Baptist School has named Emrick Jagneaux as the fourth Head Baseball Coach in program history. Jagneaux has 42 years of coaching experience at both the high school and college level. This past year, Jagneaux served as the Head Baseball Coach at Woodlands Christian Academy in Woodlands, T.X.  where he led this team to the State Championship game. In two years at Woodlands Christian, Jagneaux has a coaching record of 49-14. Prior to Woodlands Christian, he served as the Head Baseball Coach at Houston Christian for three years with a record of 76-12-2. Jagneaux’s coaching experience also includes Deer Park High School for four years and Westside High School for eight years. Jagneaux has coached in the private school sector over the last five years with a total record of 125-26-2.  He has two High School State Championships under his belt, 12 district titles, and has been named Coach of the Year five times.

Prior to his High School coaching career, Jagneaux served 14 years at the collegiate level at the University of Southwestern Louisiana, Wharton Country Junior College and Lamar University.

Jagneaux attended Nederland High School where he was a three time All-District and two time MVP baseball player. He received a baseball scholarship to Panola Junior College where he played for two years and was named to the National Junior College All-Tournament Team. He then received a baseball scholarship to Lamar University and graduated with a Health, P.E. and History degree. Jagneaux has been married to his wife Cheryl for 44 years. They have two sons Chad and Cory.

“Coach Jagneaux will fit in well with the longstanding work ethic of Parkview Baptist Athletics. I appreciate his mentality and his passion of making it about the student athletes,” said Superintendent Don Mayes.

Please join us in welcoming Coach Jagneaux to the Parkview Baptist family.
