MS and HS Band sweep Competition!
This week, the High School Symphonic Band and Middle School Concert Band received the sweepstakes award at District Music Performance Assessment. In the band arena, this event is equivalent to a standardized test or a district championship. There are two components to this event, performance and sight-reading. A panel of three judges for performance and one for sight-reading assess the group on their musical abilities and assigns that group a rating on a scale of 1-5–1 being the highest score, 5 being the lowest score. hool bands received all 1’s in every category! This is the highest score that a band can earn.
