Defending Faith in Sophomore Bible

Part of being an intentional Christian school is providing opportunities for our students to defend their faith.

Pastor Preston Thompson of Redeemer Baptist Church visited with Mr. Kinchen’s Sophomore Bible classes in disguise as Dr. Broquet, a professor of ancient literature at Southwestern, to challenge our students to share their faith and defend what they believe.  This was an exercise for the sophomore students to attempt to share the gospel with him as part of  a unit on evangelism. Mr. Kinchen kept the identity of the speaker a mystery until they had an opportunity to share their faith.
