PBS vs. John Curtis – “Back the Blue”
On Friday, September 16, 2016 the Parkview Baptist football team will take the field against John Curtis Christian School. Parkview Baptist School would like to take this opportunity to honor our Louisiana Law Enforcement. We will start the afternoon with a Back to School Bash/Welcome Tailgate for all of our Law Enforcement and new families who have enrolled after being affected by the flood. Our law enforcement officers are welcome to two free meals from 4:30-6:00 p.m. while supplies last.
Thank you to our sponsors – Mathnasium of Baton Rouge (PBS Parent Ryan Booth), State Farm (PBS Parent Mitch Mula), PBC Industrial Supplies (PBS Grandparent Karl Weber) and Rock N Pops (PBS Alum Ian Vaughn) for providing meals for our flooded families and law enforcement.
Following the tailgate, we will have an honorary captain from each division: Louisiana State Police, Baton Rouge Police Department, and the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Department. Those representatives will take the field for the coin toss with our current football captains and a game ball will be brought in by the All American Skydiving Team.
At halftime, we will honor all Law Enforcement by having them take the field. We will have them walk through our tunnel of both John Curtis and Parkview Baptist School Spirit Squads while we recognize them for their dedication and service to our community.
Thank you to our game sponsors. 100% of our donations will go to the family of wounded Deputy Nick Tullier, whose nephew Jared attends PreK at PBS
Thank you to our sponsors – Vertical Construction (PBS Alums Richie Edmonds and Jason Ryder), BCM Builders LLC (Brian Monk and PBS Alum Tara Wilson Monk), and Cast Iron Kitchen (PBS Parent Jonathan Marino
We will also be accepting donations at the gate in exchange for a “PBS Loves our Law Enforcement” bracelet. which will be included in the money that is donated to Officer Tullier.
The game will be broadcast as the Cox Game of the Week with the pregame show airing at 6:30 p.m. Kickoff will be at 7:00 p.m. at Parkview Baptist School
