Final Volunteer Opportunities for Saturday

Dear PBS Families,

What a week! Thank you so much to those of you who have volunteered your time this week. It was great seeing everyone back at Prep Day and Open House as well!

We will be having one more day of sending out teams tomorrow (Saturday).

If you would like to volunteer, please be at PBS (Meet in cafeteria) at 9am.

We need volunteers 9^th grade and up, willing to help move furniture, pull up wet carpet, go through wet belongings, and in general help to clean. The work is HOT, it is MESSY and it is not very fun.

Our coaches and teachers who have led teams this week will not be here tomorrow. After several straight days of being in homes, we need them to take the weekend off to be with their families and recharge for school to begin on Monday morning.

If you are willing to lead a team of volunteers (usually 10-12) , Please respond to this email and let Courtney know so we can divide up teams.

We need to know how many leaders are coming so we know how many houses we can serve.

We will have free childcare available from 9:00-3:00 so that you can leave your kids and go out and serve.

ADDITIONAL NEEDS:

We need 5-10 8^th-12^th grade girls to help with childcare. Please respond and let me know if your child would like to do that.

We also need some volunteers willing to drive excess supplies over to Jefferson Baptist, which is a staging area for flood relief.

We will also need volunteers around 3:00 to help pack up uniforms.

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

Volunteers must wear LONG PANTS.

High School age volunteers MUST bring a waiver signed by their parents. They will not be allowed to go into the field without the signed waiver. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE STUDENT WAIVER. (also attached to this email) We will have paper copies available tomorrow morning

We will be finished by 3pm.

This is the last day that we will be serving.

Sunday, we would love for you to take a day of rest!

We would love for you to join us at Parkview Baptist Church on Sunday at 5pm for a casual celebration service and would love to have our teams that have helped this week come worship with us.

If you have filled out the form to receive volunteers, we are doing our very best to get to you. The list is long. Anyone that we are not able to get to tomorrow, we will pass on their names to Southern Baptist Disaster Relief.

This has been an awesome time to watch our school, church and community come together. We are looking forward to watching God work in the lives of our PBS family!
