Welcome to Mrs. Guidry!
Casey Guidry, High School Learning Lab Coordinator
Welcome to Mrs. Guidry! Mrs. Guidry and her husband Tommy (pictured at left) are expecting their first child, Silas, in late October. They are excited about him being a teeny tiny Baby Eagle in 2017!
Mrs. Guidry graduated from Campbell University in North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies and Child Development. She taught in the Discovery Center at Northlake Christian School in Covington, LA before working for her family business.
Let’s get to know Mrs. Guidry a little better!
What’s a super interesting fact about Mrs. Guidry? I went to college out of state in North Carolina where I didn’t know anyone. My high school graduating class only had 43 students, and I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone by going to a school where I didn’t know anyone. It was a great experience, and I made some lifelong friends!
What three things would you take to a desert island? a satellite phone (to get someone to pick me up), someone waaaaay more outdoorsy than me, and a knife of some sort.
Favorite movie of all time? Garden State or Remember the Titans
Favorite Verse: John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Why did you want to come to Parkview? I have a passion for empowering struggling student and students who learn differently than their peers. I love helping students set goals and achieve those goals- even if the steps to get there look a little different than those of their peers. I also have a passion for working in partnership with parents and teachers of struggling learners to help build a strong educational support team for the student. I am excited make steps toward growing the Learning Lab program over the next few years! When we found out we were expecting, I really felt like God was pushing me to go back to teaching. An amazing opportunity came up at Parkview, right as I felt like it was time to go back to teaching. I am also looking forward to working with Mr Haindel again. We go way back!
