Welcome, Mr. Kinchen!
Hunter Kinchen, 10th Grade Bible
Welcome to Mr. Kinchen! Mr. Kinchen will be teaching Sophomore Bible and helping coach football. Mr. Kinchen holds his Bachelors in Human Movement Sciences from LSU and is almost finished with his Masters of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He comes to us from the Church of the Highlands where he was serving as a Youth Pastor. Let’s get to know Mr. Kinchen a little better.
What made you want to come to Parkview? God gave me the opportunity to teach at Parkview about a year ago. I came to campus for my first meeting with Ben Haindel and he shared with me the heart behind the school and what the faculty was wanting to do through the use of the Bible department and I was sold.
Give us some fun facts about yourself. I was a Walk-On Wide Reciever at LSU for the 2011 & 2012 seasons. I **may** or may not have some musical talent. I love to wakeboard, and I’ve shaken Michael Jordan’s hand!
Why Christian Education? As Christians, God wants to be involved in every aspect of our lives. He wants more than the small box that we give Him on Sundays. Christian education helps students to see that God can be glorified in all that we do, whether that’s educations, sports, clubs, etc. He wants to be glorified through it all.
Favorite Snowball Flavor: ice cream
Favorite Verse: “The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.” Psalms 28:7
Mr. Kinchen is no stranger to Parkview, and his mom is Lori Kinchen who works in our High School Learning Lab and coaches Varsity Cheer. Mr. Kinchen is engaged to his fiance, Lauren Hollingsworth (Class of 2011) and they will be married in December! Feel free to shoot Mr. Kinchen an email at hunter.kinchen@parkviewbaptist.com and welcome him to the Parkview family!
