Welcome, Mr. Parker!
We are excited to introduce one of our new faculty members for the 16-17 school year, Mr. Parker! Mr. Parker will be teaching 8th grade Physical Science and holds his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Troy University. When asked why he wanted to come teach at a Christian school, Mr. Parker said, “A Christian education helps us learn how to contribute to society, but more importantly to contribute to eternity. It lets students know that investing in your future is important, but investing in your eternity is eternal.”
Let’s get to know Mr. Parker a little better!
What made you want to come teach at Parkview? After meeting several alumni who all said “I seriously.. SERIOUSLY loved Parkview and my time there,” I felt led to learn more about the school. I interviewed for my position and fell in love with the middle school staff and their heart behind academics and ministry! Geaux Eagles!
You get three things only to take to a desert island. What are they? Fishing line (practical), A hammock (comfortable), and Real Sugar Vanilla Pepsi (Delicious)
What did you do fun this summer? I just got back from an 8 day camping trip around Iceland!
Three Fun Facts about Mr. Parker: 1) I am a public address announcer AND I know how to juggle! 2) I was Cole Mayet’s summer camp counselor at Pine Cove camp in Texas two years ago. I love cookie butter!
Favorite Verse: Romans 8:31-39 (“If God is for us, who can be against us…we are more than conquerors!”) This verse is so encouraging. It fires me up!
