Professional Development Day Recap

Our teachers spent the day today in teams working on “Vertical Alignment.” This is an educational term which basically means ensuring that all content and curriculum is covered at the appropriate time and there are no gaps or overlapping. Our PK-2nd grade teachers, 3rd through 5th, and 6th through 12th grade departments worked together (and had some fun while we were at it!) This type of concentrated professional development day is crucial to continue to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, as well as preparing for our accreditation visit this spring.
