Heart-N-Soul Summer Jump Rope Journeys
This summer was very busy for the members of the Heart-n-Soul Jump Rope team. In June, eight members of the team participated in the World Jump Rope Pan-American Jump Rope Championship and Camp in Orlando, Florida. Over 400 jumpers participated. Jacob Breaux, Tori Lambert and Kaylee Couvillion were selected to be part of the camp staff.
In the age division championship, Heart-n-Soul was awarded twelve 1st places, five 2nd places, four 3rd places and two 4th places. In the Grand Championship, Heart-n-Soul had one 1st place, four 2nd places and one 3rd place. Cooper Dupuy participated in his first “big” championship and placed 4th in Single Rope Speed 1×30/Novice 10-under and 2nd in Male Single Rope Freestyle/Novice 10-under. In July, Kaylee Couvillion and Jacob Breaux traveled to Paris, France for the 2015 World Jump Rope Championship. Over 800 jumpers from around the world, attended this championship. Kaylee Couvillion was part of the World Championship staff and participated as a jumper. In the Age Division Championship, Kaylee placed 1st in Single Rope Freestyle. Jacob was able to participate in the Grand Championship and placed 2nd in the Double Dutch Triad (Double Dutch with 3 jumpers and 2 turners). For team results, please click here.
