Brother Bob & Brent P. Poor Scholarship Honors
At our final Elementary and Middle School Chapels of the school year, several students were recognized and honored for their Christ-like behavior both at school and in their daily lives – using the Bible as a guide for daily living and showing respect for authority. These students have been observed making good choices, reaching out to other students just as Christ reached out to others, lending a helping hand to those in need, demonstrating a personal commitment to intellectual growth and sharing God’s word to fellow students. All of the characters listed above are part of the Brother Bob Scholarship and what it stands for. One student in K-2, 3-4, Middle School and High School each received the honor.
Also at the final Chapel of the school year, the Brent P. Poor Memorial Scholarship is awarded in memory of a Parkview Baptist School alumnus. Brent Poor is a 1987 Parkview Baptist School alumnus who passed away in 2010. His wife, Ms. Poor, honors his memory by providing an annual financial scholarship that will cover half of the tuition amount of an eligible second generation PBS student who is entering 6th through 12th grade. Second generation students are those whose parent or legal guardian is a PBS alumnus.
It is with much pride and joy that we picture the students below who were nominated and those who won. Congratulations to everyone involved. We are so proud of you and the leader you have become.
