Chemical Reaction Investigation
In Mrs. Crawley’s 5th grade science class, students are learning the difference between physical and chemical changes. This week, students prepared water bottles filled with hydrogen peroxide, dawn soap and food coloring. In a separate bowl, they mixed dry active yeast and warm water. When the two solutions were combined, it created a foaming chemical reaction. The students were very engaged and excited to see the “explosion” of colorful foam.
